Answer:

Pray is talking to God. Although you may think there are set ways to talk to God this is not the case. The well known LORD'S PRAYER was told by Jesus to His disciples as an example of  how to pray, it is  not a set formula.

You can talk to God silently or out loud. You can talk to Him in your room , at your desk, on a hill top - anywhere at anytime. You do not need to follow a pattern of speech you just tell God what you need to get off your chest. Pour out your thoughts. God wil be glad you are attempting to talk to Him! When you were a baby your parents were overjoyed at your first words and your attempt to communicate with them... the Bible tells us to pray in the name of Jesus, ask God to show you His way.  The first prayer I ever made in my search for God was " God, if you are really there you will have to show me cos I don't believe anything any man or church tells me." that came straight from my heart and I can simply say that I was answered very definitely within a week and haven't ever looked back and that was nearly  thirty years ago!

As you talk to God you will start to  be moved to thank Him for things in your life, for the beauty of the world and things that are good, You will start tell Him about your problems and your fears. You will pray for help for those you  love and those you hear of in need. God hears everything, in fact the Bible tells us that He knows what's in our heart before we even ask it. Trust Him to be there, Just start the conversation and you will never regret it. If you hear other people pray don't be discouraged if they sound cleverer  or use special words- God sees your heart...each of us is unique and God made man in His own image - be YOU   there is no other YOU in the whole world and God wants You not a copy of your neighbour! Just like a baby grows, your prayers will develop too. Don't worry ,just talk to Him , He's always there ready to listen -to YOU
