 Answer:

We believe in the God who created the heavens and the earth. We believe in His Son Jesus who came to bring man back to a relationship with God and we know what we know about our God from the book called the Bible.  To be clear about what you believe you do need to read and to learn about this God. Some people worship the sun and moon as gods, we need to be clear which God we mean. If you are sincere about knowing God  you need to pray that God will help you and show you what He wants you to know and do.  It is easy to say "yes you should go to church"  but the point it that when you become a believer you actually want to go to church! Just as a woman cannot fully understand what motherhood involves until she is pregnant and gives birth, so it is with our faith.  A woman has hormones that release and work in  her through her pregnancy preparing her body and mindset for caring for a baby. We can talk about it but never fully understand it unless we experience it ourselves. Similarly, when a person does accept Jesus as their personal Saviour and really wants to know God, then the Holy Spirit comes into their life and an understanding develops that is beyond normal though processes. We can discuss becoming a Christian and a faith in the Creator God but unless you are a believer, unless the Holy Spirit has touched your life it is impossible to get the full picture.  Once you have asked Jesus into your life and have asked God to help you then you will find that old habits lose their thrill and going to church becomes very important on your list! In the Bible we are told to keep one day special for God and also to meet together more and more... we learn together,  we pray together and we support each other as a family. Our church family is of all ages and races united by the love of Jesus.
