Answer: God , the Creator of the universe can be thought of in three ways; ways He Himself declared to us through his word in the Bible.  You may have heard the word TRINITY which means a three- fold thing. Although the Bible doesn't use this word  God declares Himself  in a three fold way: asGod the  Father, God the Son  and God the  Holy Spirit.  God in His eternal existence created the universe, In human form though still God, He came as Jesus to teach men about the reality of His kingdom  and after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus He comes into each and every believer's life in the form of the Holy Spirit to empower and sustain our faith and future life. When a person becomes a real believer- is born again- it is the Spirit of God that makes the difference. It is hard to grasp this we know, but each and every person here can give an account of a time in their life when they knew God had come into their life in an unmistakeable way.

This is what happened on the day of Pentecost, which we can read of in the book of  Acts chapter 2  verse 1 onward.  After Jesus died and  was resurrected He spent time with his followers on Earth but the day came when he left them and ascended in to Heaven. He promised that when he went the Comforter would come, to teach them all things. (Acts 1 v8)  Sure enough as the first believers were gathered together  waiting as Jesus had  instructed, there came the sound of a rushing wind. Tongues as of fire appeared  above each person's head and they were filled with joy and understanding. They were able to speak different languages to declare the amazing truth of Jesus to all around. The Holy Spirit had come upon the group of people. From that day on they were no longer in fear because their leader Jesus had  gone from the face of the Earth and the authorities of the time  were out to arrest them and punish them. They were changed dramatically into fearless witnesses to the reality  of the power of God, seen through Jesus the Son and strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We at Onward seek to be witnesses to the reality of Jesus and the power of God in our lives. If you ask Him to show you the truth, if you really want to know, then talk to God. No fancy words are needed just what's in your heart and mind and you can be sure He will hear you ...Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 13 says " And you shall seek Me and find Me,  when you search  me with all your heart".
